You Can Enjoy Your Property at Night

The enjoyment of the property doesn’t have to end when the sun goes down. A properly illuminated yard can be a fun place to come home to at night. Many of our clients have busy lives that don’t allow them time to enjoy their properties until the evening hours.

Landscape lighting highlights property features and adds depth and perspective to your property during nighttime.

Our Landscaping Background Sets us Apart

Our lighting systems are designed by licensed lighting designers who are also licensed landscape designers.

Having an extensive landscaping and design background really compliments our lighting approach. When you’re already coming from a design perspective, creating a high-impact outdoor lighting system comes easily – simply because we know what works.

After all, landscape lighting is a component of landscape design.

The Beauty of Low Voltage Outdoor Lighting

Low voltage lighting is the method of choice for many landscape lighting applications.  It effectively does the job and is typically less costly. This type of lighting uses a transformer to convert 120-volt electricity (same as your house)  to 12 or 24 volts.

Using low voltage for outdoor lighting is less invasive to your home electricity. Permits are not needed, junction boxes don’t need to be accessed, and lines won’t have to be buried so deep.

Low voltage can also be used in typical incandescent bulbs, or new energy-efficient LED bulbs.  Some key benefits of low voltage lighting:

  • More energy efficient.
  • Less heat is generated.
  • Many more lighting options.
  • Plugs into an outside outlet.

Using Line Voltage for Outdoor Lighting

Some lighting applications require much more light. If this is the case, we will use 120-volt line voltage for your lighting situation. This type of lighting will require deeper trenching and installation techniques.

This work is performed in conjunction with our preferred subcontractor, who is a licensed electrician in Westchester.

Maintenance of Landscape Lighting Systems

To ensure seamless operation year-round, maintenance needs to be performed annually. This guarantees you won’t have unnecessary interruptions.

During the annual service, we will change all lamps, check voltage, align fixtures, and clean and lubricate fixtures with corrosion inhibitors.
